I love this school it;s the best. It is also very unique, in its prgrams and classes. For example we have block schedule everyday. We only have 3 classes a day, so that way we have more time ot finish up teh homework. I think it's very good.

... Read more learning experiences that most students won't get in a more traditional high school setting. My son, who has never liked school, is engaged and feeling successful. The only reason I give it four stars instead of five is because there aren't a lot of structured sports, music and theater opportunities. However, there are lots of clubs and less formal extra-curricular activities, so it's not as if these things are non-existent. Our older child went to an expensive, private college-prep high school and we think Oceana compares quite favorably. AND IT'S FREE! Read less

This school serves about 600 students 9-12 because of this, most freshman are able to fit in and do not experience the feeling of being lost. The school strives on academics and discipline and they do a good job. As a parent it is my job to be involved in my child's education and I do not have any

I remember being a freshman and being scared on my 1st day of H.S. I came from a catholic school, so I was expecting the worst experience at a public high school. Little did I know that I would end up loving this school, I get along well with my classmates and teachers. The school is not sports oriented

Advanced Placement
