Now, if you want a school with rigorous academics, OLu might not be your first choice compared to kids with theatric or athletic aspirations. The academics are not exceedingly advanced but the teachers do demand a hell of a lot from every student, and they don't accept excuses. The most advanced and demanding classes are: Honors and AP Chemistry, AP Language and AP Literature, AP Biology, AP Economics, AP US History, and AP Statistics. Read less

... Read more have great academics but just as good as a public school. The athletics and arts are decent too. Although they have all these great things I hate the school. The people are just too sheltered and overall just weird. It's annoying having to go to chapel every day even though I love Jesus. It's really just a waste of time. We do nothing. My daughter is a freshman at Orange Lutheran High School. She has been very active in Girls Cross Country and is an honor roll student. She loves the diversity at this school and is thriving. She commutes from Huntington Beach, and we will continue to do this. It is worth our time and the effort is paying
... Read more off. Her physical abilities are directed and encouraged by a wonderful coaching staff, she has become a committed student and athlete. It is a great privelage to have her their. She went to Christ Lutheran Elementary and on a field trip to Orange Lutheran, felt the desire to seek her high school education at the campus because 'Everyone was so happy and encouraging' she said. I was a student at Lutheran high. This school is the best of many that i had attended. All the teachers and administators were very encoureging and supportive. I believe this is a great enviroment for everyone. Its a fun productive learning enviroment i would like my kids to go here. i was blessed

I am very pleased with the leadership at Lutheran High. The prinicpal and Executive Director have a great vision and seems like they are following through with it. They are always taking the school to a higher level in all aspects. I feel very blessed to have my child there.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
