Nordhoff High School has the most outstanding music program of any school in the County. Bill Wagner the schools musical director is tops in his field. This school and their music department deserve to be voted the best because they are. Many of the past and present students are headed for outstanding

Nordhoff is a great school. Both of my daughters graduated from this school with an excellent education. The staff is caring and the facilities are well kept. It amazes me that people spend money sending their children to private schools in our area when they can get a much better education at this

i go to this school and i hate it so very much it was good in the beginningof my freshman year but as soon as we started getting into the year my grades fell far below average and i had no hope to make it up.i am still at nordhoff and trying to transfer if only there were more high schools in Ojai valley.i
... Read more hope other students have a better time than i am. The teaches are horrible and nobody seems to care. The class sizes are also wayyy to big(no one on one help from teachers). i really wish i could switch schools. Read less

I go to nordhoff and I really dont like it. There is a weak selection of electives. School starts way too early, I dont see how we are supposed to focus at 7.40 In the morning, school should defionatly start later, then less people would be tardy and people would find it easier to pay attention and

Sorry to inform you that the AVID program is a bust. My childs AVID teachers changed way to often. On a positive note. My child feels prepared and is doing very well at the college level. So I thank Nordhoff for preparing my child and feel sorry for all the kids that were left behind.

The teacher corps is, as common, both good and bad. Most are at least adequate, 5-6 are terrific - knowledgeable, inspiring and caring, several are actively bad and there is apparently no hope of dismissing them. I do not sense a commitment to excellence from the administration Councilors are overburdened
... Read more and not really helpful getting kids into college. Industrial arts program is almost non-existant. Sports programs are plentiful and well attended. Too many grads are, however, bitter or angry about their experience. The campus is pleasant and getting nicer. The campus is safe. Over all- an average or better public school. Kids in the middle will do OK. Those at the high and low end of the talent spectrum will need some luck. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
