My son is in Kindergarten at Mission Meadows Elem. (MME) and came from two years at a really good private preschool. He is doing fabulous and LOVES to go to MME. When he had the stomach flu, he was sad to miss school, He said, ' I don't want to miss anyting important the other kids are learning'. I told

His mind is like a sponge and he's made quite a few friends that we have play dates after school. Principal Shaver takes great pride in her work and school and the staff and teachers do too! I'm an involved parent and help in the class, get donations for supplies and events, or asking the teacher what she needs. Keep up the good work MME!!! Read less

Eventhough there is a sad state in Californias public schools, Mission Meadows is providing quality and caring instruction to its students. We came to Mission Meadows from a private school. Since coming to MM my daughter has had great progress for a public school. Mission Meadows allows for parent

My daughters teacher is 'on top of it' when it comes to education and I feel confident that my daughter is participating in a quality program. Like any school, parent involvement at home helps make a successful student! Besides the education aspect the PTA is good at offering extra activities and after school family gatherings. We were really impressed by the Harvest Carnival this year. There are also many programs to encourage student learning. We love it at Mission Meadows and wouldnt change anything about the school or it's staff. Read less

My child has attended this school for kindergarten and now 1st grade along with two of his closes cousins. One also being in the 3rd grade. From this time frame we all only have positive things to say along with many others. Several whom happen to be very much involved with school, and classroom activities.
... Read more Teacher involvement has been excellent, everything I'd expect and then some. They have followed up with me very well and kept me in the loop at all times, weather it be from a quick phone call, email, or just a simple little note at all times. I ve even thought in some instances it was a bit too much follow-up for a working parent to know of their child s every move, but of course in the long run we all know it s far much better to be aware of any little thing, than not to be. As a parent looking out for the well-being and best education possible for my child I definitely do not have any complaints at the time being. As for advice to a parent who feels that there child is being under stimulated and the attention is only being focused to the under achiever student at this school. I would recommend better communication with their teacher. You might just find out that s all it takes. I can t imagine a teacher not giving your child more work if your child lacks stimulation in the classroom, or perhaps skipping your child onto the next grade level if needed. That is if your child is indeed much more talented and ahead of the rest of the classroom academically. Education doesn t just have to stop in the classroom. As parents we have a responsibility to our children as well. So now as far as overall quality education about this school I believe it measure up to standards and I give it 5 out of 5! I m sure like every school there always some room for improvement or something we as parents would like to see more of, but with hundreds of parents it would be impossible to accommodate everyone on all their opinions. Therefore I stand proudly with my comment and need not hide my identity. Lorena Arreola Read less

All of my children have attended this school so we have been involved consistently for over ten years. With new leadership this year we are hoping to bring the staff and parents and students together. We have always felt that most of the teachers were there to just 'collect a paycheck.' There seems

The GATE program they have has improved but is still not the quality I would expect for my child. The focus seems to be test scores and doing everything they can do to bring them up, again focusing on the lower achieving students and leaving the higher students out. Read less

My child started kindergarten at this school and it was not a good experience. I love my daughter's kindegarten teacher & I have volunteered in her classroom. The teacher is great! My daughter is in kindergarten at MM, and she loves to go to school each day and is learning quite a bit, despite the sad fact that there are are 32 kids in her class!
