It is a great school since the parents are always in the center of involvment. it always gives a great sense of community involved and students are truly the main focus and the high goal of school and not just for reputation. They do matter!

Im a 7th grader at hill and i have to say it is the best of all the middle schools in novato. Some of the teachers are dislikable but most of them are motivating and good role modles. Most kids dont get made fun of, but truthfull some of them do, but the staff at hill will take care of that. I would

I have had two children go through Hill Middle School. Both very different in personality and acemically. I have seen teachers who are wonderful, caring and are in the professiona for the right reasons. I know of at least two who if they take a dislike of the student it reflects on how the student

This school has terrific academics, and a staff that is very committed to doing whatever it takes to reach each student. I have been very impressed with the school culture of caring, and the extent to which teachers are in touch with the difficult socio-emotional issues that come with middle school.

I am fine with a 4 star rating at this time. The school is definetly on the right path for excellence. My son and I are very happy with the teachers and academics. Safety and discipline are issues that should be addressed to be a 5 star school. I would give a 5 star for the principal, she works so hard

I currently have two children enrolled at Hill and both are taking full advantage of the extracurricular music programs. ... Read more older daughter is entering an arts based high school, Hill along with the Marin Symphony Youth programs have proved to be an ideal stepping stone for High school. We have found the advanced Math programs challenging for my Children with during and after school programs in place to help them achieve grades to the best of their abilities. While both of my students are averaging 3.8 or higher, this has not come without hard work and some challenging curriculum. Communicating with teachers on line to keep updated on test scores has been a positive checks and balance vehicle. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
