I am a former student. This school did not prepare me for the real world. I was in for major academic shock when I hit junior college then transferred to a CSU. As a result, it took me longer to get through college....and I took 'college prep' classes @ MBHS. Definitely not the place you want your
... Read more child to attend if you want them to be prepared for Ivy League or UC system schools, but great choice for the trade school bound child or anyone interested in music or surfing. I can't blame the teaching staff though...they deserve to earn far more than what they do for all they provide and have to put up with. Kudos to the great teachers I had!! Read less

My daughter recently graduated from Morro Bay High and I must say I am proud of her. It is her drive and the help of some of the staff that made her what she is today. I appreciate all of those who have touched her life. Thank you.

Morro Bay High School is by far the best High School ever.. Morro Bay is a good school hampered by the CA curriculum. It prepares kids for the local community college or UC/CSU's, but not as well for top level private schools. They truly care for the students, and try to provide expansive learning opportunities, but can't always budget for them. Perhaps too
... Read more much emphasis on sports--2 gyms and plenty of playing fields, but no real stage or auditorium with a first class music program and very good drama program! Excellent agricultural program, good opportunities for kids who apply themselves. Fabulous work with ESL and mainstreamed special needs students. Excellent administration and support staff. Would like to see counseling office help kids more with reaching beyond the CA State system. Read less

Morro Bay High School has afforded our son an excellent education. The staff are caring and dedicated and they look out for each individual student. The principal and supporting administrators and counselors know each student by name. They also know their interests and who they 'hang out' with. Morro

My children have attended MBHS. They have received a quality education. The principal is dynamic and earnest in providing quality leadership. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Before/After School

Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
