The teachers at El Toro go above and beyond with the children, but the administration has a very stand off policy with parents. It's hard to get in to talk with administration, and they don't often return calls or emails

I feel my child has received an 'above average' education so far at this school. There has been teachers at every grade level that have inspired my child to excel past his own expectations. We have experienced a great deal of frustration with the gate program. This year in particular we have yet to receive

I have two children that have attended this school since Kindergarten and we love El Toro. Last year I served as a Parent volunteer for both a 1st and 2nd grade class which enabled me to interact with the class and get to know the teachers. I was very pleased with what was accomplished. The children
... Read more also had the opportunity to have art appreciation. Once a week an artist would come in to share the different styles of art and how to create some of it. The children enjoyed making their own creations with pencil, crayon, watercolors and oil. These children were educated with everything that they did and touched. Fund raising activities were coordinated by the parents and supported very strongly by the rest of the school parent community. There was a substantial amount of money raised by these activities to support field trips and the like. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course.
