this is the best school I have greatly improved my grade to straight A's theprincipal counselors teachers are WONDERFUL they have great strategies of ways to each and make laerning the standards and beyond easier thiers alot of parent participation in the school thiers many options like band orchestra

I went to that school a few years ago, and I thouroughly enjoyed it. the only problem is the community. Everyone that lives in this town (Moorpark) is so obssesed with school and 'The American Dream' that they often forget about the real world, and tell their children that the whoel world is like this.
... Read more The parents are usually not too smart, and the cops do nothing but....annoy. This town is literally perfect if like fake things, and the teachers here are WONDERFUL. Although this is an amazing school, the parents need to back off the kids, and teach them that school is NOT the most important thing. Because college isn't for everyone. All you need is brains and courtesy towards others. Once again, the school is amazing, the teachers are awesome, but the parents need to back the 'heck' off. thanks for listening :P Read less

This is my sons first year at CMS and he really enjoys being there. The teachers are great. He is especially fond of his math teacher. I'm very glad that they keep an eye out for the trouble makers in the yard.

Its an ok school but needs improvment. It's teachers are great and kind, especialy mrs. Davenport. Where the is isues is the food and discipline. The only healthy things they have, if you can call them that, are the horrid salads and pretzals. Discipline is an issue to, I know because I'm a student.

Chaparral Middle School has a Principal who is easily approachable. The teachers at CMS are very good. At Chaparral they have an ecellent Choir teacher and Band Director. ... Read more those three individuals are superb in their ability to reach childrens minds. They earn their students respect by who they are as teachers. My daughter and son have benefited from their wisdom. These classes also helped both my chidren excell in math for music and math go hand in hand. The teachers of whom I am speaking are Mrs. Koch-Choir and Mrs. Judd-Band, and Mr. wallace-Science. All the teachers there have molded my children in a positive way and I am truly happy that they were able to go to CMS. Read less

This is one of the best schools in Ventura County. The faculty and staff are mostly enthusiastic, knowledgeable and supportive. The principal is a bit afraid of parent opinion, but he's otherwise intelligent and cares about the school. It's a National Blue Ribbon School. There are lots of after school

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
