I have been attending San Carlos School for 10 years! I can't really compare it to another school but from talking to friends from public schools I'm glad I attend it. Although San Carlos has music it is not luring older students to participate. San Carlos should have music and theater in their academics.

As a student (attending for 9 years, k-8th) , San Carlos is the only school I know. I believe that the school lacks the qualitys of other schools such as PE. I love to be out there and active, but with PE only 2 days a week (most schools 3 or more) I believe we are not getting the full excersise a growing

For 9 straight years, I have never seen or been what I think is a real bully. Everyone in our school is so tight because of the small town and small classes. My best years were 6th to 8th because of one thing: Mr. Kristy. He is such an inspriational teacher filled with traditional learning to the renaissance faire in 7th grade. Thanks Mr. Kristy! As a military family this was a perfect alternative to the California academic 'standards'. The school offers plenty of opportunity for sports and extra curricular activities that public schools here do not. The size of grades are small which allows the kids to become close friends (we were worried

The complaint of someone's review about too much homework is silly, I expect a lot from my children and if you don't want the best then public school is fine for what you are looking for. You must volunteer at this school a minimum of 5 hours a month but that makes the school and families here tight and the students as well. Read less

I believe this school expects too much out of the children and parents. My daughter who is in second grade has an hour and a half of homework a night. She has no time to be a kid.
