Low population has caused disproportionate per student funding compared to other San Mateo County school districts. Overall, Farallone View is a wonderful learning environment located in a rural, bedroom community, lacking in funding, but maintaining and or exceeding standards and has continues to build on the future. Both of my children have gone to Farallone view and my smallest will start next year. We've found the school to be excellent, the teachers caring and involved, and Mr. Bachichi is fantastic. Teachers of note - Mrs Balciunas in K is outstanding for the little ones, expecially in reading. Ms. Parker

The cream of the crop is Mrs. Furst - tough but fair and give personalized attention to each student despite having 30+ in her class. She excells at language arts and has crative projects for the kids each quarter. She makes a lifelong impression on the children that carries them to middle school. As a kindergarten parent I am impressed on a daily basis with Farallone View. There is great emphasis on reading and writing. The teachers (especially my childs) are wonderful, compassionate and have such a great teaching style.

The Ed Fund is a parent-teacher fund raising effort that raises community awareness of the school while funding teacher's aids in the classroom thus keeping student-teacher ratios much lower than the published ratio. My wife and I are professionals and value the quality of our boy's education very highly - we could easily afford private schools. Two of my children have excelled at Farallone View Elementary School. They are now in the 6th and 10th grades at other schools- middle and high school. I am pleased with Farallone's holistic environment, the individual and differentiated instructional approach, and the data-driven accountability models.
... Read more The math and language arts curriculum are substantive, but are also creative and child-centric. This is not solely a school driven by the testing frenzy. Parents have the opportunity to participate in the classroom in a plethora of ways- literacy circles, a very active PTA, Ed Fund and Site Countil- to a variety of fundraisers, book fairs, social gatherings. Advanced Placement
