This a Great school. My daughter is in the 6th grade and has done wonderfully. She is thriving socially and academically her grade point average is above a 4.0 and she is in Leadership. The Principal is ALWAYS available and the teachers are a great help. I feel she is getting a grade A education.

My child is very happy in his first year at Clifton. It's important that he be happy, but, I also appreciate the excellent staff and abundance of activities. The Clifton staff made the transition from elementary to middle school easy and enjoyable for both me and my son.

My daughter has transitioned so well into Middle School life and I'm so glad we stayed part of the public school system and didn't listen to others that were private school snobs. ... Read more school, enrichment classes. Communication and parent support could use some help - but I imagine both of those drop off at all middle schools. Instead of writing checks to a private school, why not write them to a public school PTA and dedicate some energy to the school - instead of complaining how bad they are...you can't complain about something you have never even seen. I have had 2 children go thru CMS. One child has mental retardation and was in special education class and loved it. She was included in activities where she could and was respected and treated fairly. They begin to teach life skills (washing PE clothes, folding towels, cooking) as well as academic
... Read more skills in middle school SDC. Clifton does a great job in their special education dept. My other child is now an 8th grader. He is doing great. His grades are A's and B's and 1 C, and he gets free afterschool tutoring as often as needed. I work full time, but I am involved as I can. I join PTSA, go to the school evening funtions, and generally attend everything that my son is in. If his band is playing, I am there. If he is in tutoring, I randomly stop by to check and thank the teacher. Read less

This school is ok. There are many fights and bullies though. The 6th grade year for my kids was always hard but when 7th and 8th grade came along they were fine. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
