I would say besides the fantastic academic standards of this school the 'community' feeling is the part I like best. I know my son is receiving the best education and all of the children in all grades from kinder to 8th know each another and support one other. Carden of the Foothills has truly been the best choice we could have made for our son's education. He is happy and enjoys learning. The academics and enrichment programs are first rate including music, art, physical education and foreign language. The kids are again learning to play the recorders
... Read more this year. Last year, my son earned his black belt in the Recorder Karate program.The technology program is first rate and the kids learn to use Microsoft Office. I was quite impressed recently when I visited the computer lab and saw all the second graders making PowerPoint presentations. The size of the school couldn't be better and I really like how all the kids know each other and interact together. The Summer School program is excellent as well. We know our son will be well prepared for his wherever his academic future takes him. Read less

Carden is one of those extremely rare Catch-22 Schools. It is so amazing that you want to shout it's praises from the roof tops, yet, it is so amazing that you also want to keep it a secret. If every school in California were a Carden school like this one, then California would be #1 in education nationwide.

This is my first year at Carden. After intensive research on schools for my son, I choose Carden and I couldn't be more happy for my decision. Carden of the foothills is a great school with great educators, and most of all I love the ratio and the attetion each child gets.

The school and students are very involved in giving back to the cummunity as well, and consistently building character and respect for themselves and others. Parent involvment is key to the success in learning for your child, and Carden has many oppurtunites and encourages parents - without overbearing them with mandatory fundraisers. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course.
