I'm a senior at Mojave High School and by the looks of it, the high school is shaping up...but not it's people. There's a lack of discipline in every class I attend where the teachers must baby the kids like we're still in kindergarten. Hopefully the class clowns realize that the rest of their life starts

I am a former student of MHS. First off, one must know that Mojave has a great deal of students who are not motivated--this is not the teachers fault! Yes, the school is an old school and needs a great deal of work, but that takes money! Students can make the most of the courses if they choose to.
... Read more There are some great teachers--(Mr. Hartsock, Mrs. Shelby, Mr. Veith) who take time with their students to help them. Parent involvement is at a minimum in most cases. If teachers did not have to deal with the discipline problem students, more teaching, and learning could take place. Read less

My child attended this school and he didn't care for it at all. I think the school lacks in the homework department. The campus appearance is horrible. I think that has a lot to do with the students learning environment. The discipline of the students is horrible. One good thing is the sports program

Although my child participates in their 'Engineering Academy', so far, I have not seen any extracurricular activities that gears students towards an engineering field. Mojave and California City has the worst school system ever. The teacher are not leader to our children, and in my opinion 80% of them are lazy. Our student are not been taught in a professional way, and we have teacher that are trying to hard to be hipped instead of beening mentor to our children.The

Strong higher level math program. Strong science program. Optional Engineering proram available taking advantage of Mojave Airport Connection. Business and Art teachers are among the best and most involved in the county. Excellent sports programs. Test scores are comparable to Desert HS (Edwards), Rosamond

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course.
