The staff and administration is organized and responsive. They are constantly implementing field trips and a variety of events. My son who absolutely hated history form the first day he was introduced to it, is now saying its his favorite subject. I did not think this was possible as I hated this subject as well. Parent / teacher communication is outstanding. One low grade & you are informed by e-mail or a notice that must be signed otherwise the child will lose recess. These teachers are bright, warm and deeply insightful to the needs of their classes. Their passion for learning is contagious to the kids. ... Read more to tailor to each child's needs with the small class sizes at LePort. LePort is the model for what is POSSIBLE in education. The kids are always challenged and work hard but enjoy every minute of it. LePort helped fill the gaps in my child's foundation in Math and Language to prepare her for more advanced topics and skills that will serve her will in high school and college. I have older children who did not have the advantage of a LePort education and that is my only regret. Read less

... Read more in the world. The teachers take the time to review the student's work and everything (and I mean everything) is marked. No busy work is done here--and students learn quickly to finish what they start. Another great thing LePort teaches is organization--which was something that has tremendously helped my children at school, and has greately benefited our family at home. Where else could an 11-year-old read Shakespeare--and love it? The tutoring they offer is great--truly targeting areas of need. The only problem I have with LePort is that they don't have a high school program...yet! Read less

AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School
