... Read more are especially strong. Certainly, there is a fair number of wealthy students attending the school, although most of the rich kids attend the private schools. But I do believe the wealth factor contributes to my impression that many of the kids lack ambition and competitiveness as compared to, say, Saratoga. Frankly, I blame the parents (especially those who are too busy to engage with their kids) for any lack of competitiveness at the school. The resources are all there for any kid to shine. A very socially discriminating school. They expect parents to really fork over the costs of their students attending there even though it is a public school. The child and the parents are constantly bombarded to raise money to support the school, especially if the child participates in sports. How

Los Gatos High School is an amazing place for the gifted student. The honor program offers challenging courses and the teachers (admin and others) all really care. Although the decision to select honor level courses for content, rather than an additional homework load meant that my son could not be Valedictorian,

Very pleased with the school. Teachers caring and responsive. They have a great sports program and all areas academic and sports are very competitive. Music program is also a plus. Excellent school.

Good school for the right kids. However, if you child is a middle of the road student, they can get lost. Parents have to be very proactive with some teachers to find out what's going on. Some don't even respond to emails. We're looking into alternative schools.

The most recent Parent Night exposed me to teachers thrilled to be teaching there, and a new swimming pool (costing millions) the community had just bought with fundraising dollars. Advanced Placement

Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
