This is not a school were a parent has to worry about the kids being up to date with the latest fashion or the kids competeing about who is wearing the most expensive clothe, I really enjoy listening to my daughter play her viola and all the new friends ahe has made. We as parents have to remember that this is a school of choice and we choose to have our children go to Renarts. If you child likes the school he/she will excell if your child doesn't like it hw/she will fail..You and your child have to be committed to practice and you will prosper...I'm sorry that

We have seen both the private school structure as well as the public school setting, after reading the postings, what a shame for those that beleive that teaching is only a classroom excersise, remeber it takes a village. Ren Arts is outstanding...

My kids use to attended RenArts school, unfortunately it was a disappointment after they transferred to another public High School, come to find out some of their credits are not VALID! The expectations from the teachers are un-real! it smells, the air conditioner is never on, the heater is never on!

Rigorous ascademic program which prepares kids for college. Great music program that gives the students ample opportunity for performance. Discipline, for even the most minor indiscretions, borders on cruel and arbitrary. Many students break under the pressure of this type of discipline.

At first my kids were leary about going to RenArts. There are few social events and no area to be outside. I wanted a safe environment for my kids that prepared them for college and life. I got exactly what I wanted. I do not think you can go into any other school in LA that prepares a child
... Read more better for college and teaches them a good work ethic. Much of the materials covered are college level. I am impressed with the teaching. I am impressed with the material. I am impressed with how much the children have learned and how they did not notice. I am impressed with the faculty. I am impressed in how much calmer the children are and how they can focus on their work better. I saw that other parents criticized the unorthodox system at RenArts. I believe the RenArts system works and it rocks. Read less

I love Renaissance Arts Academy. My child has violin lessons every day---taught by a professional violinist. He has a reason to go to school every day and Not one teacher will let him get behind. He has tutoring available in Latin, in math, and science whenever he needs it. When assignments are missing

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
