I am also unhappy with the choice of either ridiculously expensive after-school care or none at all and I ...  Read more

This is the best school! The teachers are amazing and there is great parental involvement. It is diverse and high-achieving. What else could you want?

This is an excellent school. From the Principal, to the teachers, it is apparent that everyone has one goal: do what is best for the children. I highly recommend this school. It's the best!

This school has positives and negatives. I think the October 15th post is very true and thoughtful. I can't add anything to this, except this school is very good at high achievers and slow learners. CST* Test Scores

Grade Level:

Test Year: 2007
Hancock Park Elementary School
Los Angeles Unified School District
California

* In 2006-2007 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts and math in grades 2 through 11; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8, 10 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.
