We joined Millikan last year and the staff had been very welcoming and kind. After a great tragedy in my family this year, every one there treated my sons with the honor they deserved at that time. The staff has been working with my teens to get them headed in the right education path..which is college!

I will agree that the principal is a total duch but just because of one persons stupidity y ou cant judge a hole school, as fat as the halls being too crowded what do you want it is high school, you arent going to find a high school with 5 kids in the hall ways. Well in my opinion I think that they have one of the best academic programs. The program that my daughter is in is great because the teacher actually take time with the students and engage in their students work. All their extracurricular activities are available. ... Read more school sh is in the marching band, orchestra, cross country, and also the track team. She is also the president of two clubs on her campus. So I do think that their exta-curricular activities are available its just a matter on wether or not a student wants to take part. I think that the parents do take an active roll in the school. Millikan is the high school my two eldest daughters attended and graduated from in 2002 and 2004. Millikan is located in a nice neighborhood and it is attended by a racially diverse population. I believe the diversity was an advantage for my daughters. They each had friends from other races and thus
... Read more became more informed about other cultures and also more compassionate. Millikan is a school that ends up taking on students from other schools that didn't maintain a 2.0 average. Millikan is quite crowded, my daughters both complained about how difficult it was simply trying to walk to class. My eldest daughter was in the GATE program at Millikan, called Quest. She seemed to really enjoy the Quest teachers. I sometimes worried that she was receiving more work, and maybe she would have benefited from more enrichment. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
