I agree with the January 2009 post--the excellent teachers and administrators at Hall are doing their very best to provide a great education and guide our young people to be respectful, responsible, and thoughtful citizens. They really care about our children, and are doing a great job of continuing to keep class sizes down, keep the focus on academic excellence, and still provide extra learning opportunities despite the discouraging state budget situation. We appreciate the parent and community involvement that enables the school to provide art, music, drama, math and science clubs, and extracurricular athletic programs, but most of all, we appreciate the truly exceptional teachers. Teachers have no help, parents are making more demands w/out any knowledge of teaching and no respect; they're retiring or quitting; nor does the school board bother to reprimand students. Rather, they blame the teachers instead of the problem parents. The teachers should receive higher to offset the costs of living increase, increase special education, reduce class size, it's much larger 25 students to a teacher - have the teachers give input (w/out reprimand).
