Also, VV was the only school around to offer an after-school program, very handy for working parents. Maybe it's not 'fair' to compare after such a terrible experience elsewhere, but we can't wait to get back into the district, and hopefully, Valley View itself. I believe Westside is the best district in the AV, and VV elementary is the best school my son has attended yet. Read less

I was very disappointed in quality of teaching as well as the burned out teacher attitude expressed from 80% of the staff. One of many unprofessional and very disturbing situations my child endured in Kindergarten! The principal is useless in these matters as she is oblivious to the screaming teachers around her. Some of the teachers need additional courses on discipline and responding better to children instead of intimidation and yelling. Other teachers at this school should consider a new profession. This school seems to have alot of parent participation. The teachers are very involved also. The children are not allowed to leve the campus until the teacher 'sees' the childs parent/guardian, and releases the child. I think that is a really good practice in this day and age.

... Read more kids. My son came from a private school and had to struggle to catch up to the students here. Once he did, he blossomed and is now an honor student in Jr. High. I give Valley View full credit. If you live in this district and your child is in private school, you can save yourself a bunch of money and give your child a superior education by enrolling them in Valley View. I cant say enough. Plus, the campus has lots of shade and a big grassy playground with nice play structures. Read less

I have been tremendously impressed by this school. Coming from a private school I have noticed that my child seemed better educated. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
