My children have been at Pinecrest Lancaster for four years. While I have absolutely loved every teacher they have, there are some serious disappointments here. For one, the administration is very corporate minded and as another reviewer remarked, the school has fallen from the educational goals and

Also, the curriculum is not very far ahead from public school, some of my friends' children actually seem to be getting harder work. For a private school charging so much (over 7000 a year per kid), they really need to step it up. Again, the teachers have such genuine love and dedication to each child that it makes it worth overlooking the bad, but this school could be so much better. They realize they are the only non religious private school in the area and they know it. Read less

My three children all love attending Pinecrest. The school is small enough that the kids know everyone and everyone knows them. The academic program is challenging. The teachers all seem very caring and hands on. I have never felt my child was a number and not an individual with her own needs. The

One bad point, the school is always hitting parents up for more money for something it seems. When paying over $7000 a year this seems unnecessary. Parental involvement is lacking overall. The school needs a strong PTA. For California, this school is a great choice if you are willing to pay for a quality education for your children. To me it is surely worth it! Read less

My kids and I all love Pinecrest. There are not so many students in either of their classes, the teachers are all so willing to speak with me about my kids, and my kids are learning so much and so quickly. My kids know the Pledge of Allegiance and words to our National Anthem, the extracurricular activities

I do struggle to pay the tuition, but it is worth it to me, not only for the quality of the academic education, but also for the values of goodness, patriotism and work ethic Pinecrest instills in the kids. This is a good school. There is a very low teacher-to-student ratio, which makes for very individualized learniing. Their SAT scores are also well above the national average. It is a little pricey but well worth the satisfaction you get from your child receiving a good education.

The student/teacher ratio listed is not accurate. My child attended this school for several years and I would say that each year there was an average of 20-25 kids per class with one teacher and one assistant. Overall I was very dissapointed with the quality of education my child received and found that
