The teachers are excellent and caring at Lincoln. I've noticed that maybe because we live in a lower socioeconomic area, there doesn't seem to be a lot of parent involvement. I hear the same parents complain about the teachers, but I think that if the parents helped the teachers by contributing to their ...  Read more

MY SON IS IN KINDERGARTEN AND EVER SINCE HE HAS STARTED HERE AT LINCOLN HE HAS BEEN SICK AT LEAST 4 OR 5 TIMES. AT FIRST HE TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS NO SOAP IN THE BATHROOMS. I KINDA BLEW IT OFF, THEn I ASKED HIM AGAIN AND HE SAID THE SAME THING, SO I CALLED THE SCHOOL AND THEY SAID THEY JUST INSTALLED ...  Read more

My child has attended for 3 years, this school is the bare basics and nothing more. There is a lot of bullying in the early grades if your child does not "fit the mold" of expectation. We have had trouble with every teacher being negative and non-inventive about learning styles. Our children are not ...  Read more

I have two kids at the school, they have been there from kindergarten, now they are both in 3rd and 5th grade. Previous years I have loved the teachers and my kids truly enjoyed school. Lincoln Elementary is a very caring place for students. Its principal, Donna Shoffner, is a dedicated professional who genuinely works with each staff member and parent to help each student be successful.

Our son was a 2nd grader at Lincoln and I have to say this school and the district in general is a failure. How can you only have one elementary school in the whole district passing AYP. The administration has a bad attitude and the teachers just seem to not really care.My son was in a class of 15 2nd ...  Read more

This school has been a huge disappointment. The kindergarden students seem to lack adequate playtime, and have barely enough time to eat a snack (10 minutes) before returning to academics. The academics are heavily stressed to the detriment of social skills and play therapy. The children are not allowed ...  Read more

I have to agree with the gentleman whose child attends Kindergarten. My daughter also is in Kindergarten this year 2007 and I have found the teacher to be somehat negative with parents and students and unenthusiastic and aloof. This teacher does not give any feedback and needs to improve when it comes ...  Read more

Licoln Elementary School in lancaster,California is the best school in this district.Because they just don't pass the child to the next grade without that child being where that child is supposed to be in that grade.

California
* In 2011-2012 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.
