I don't believe it's the teacher's fault as to why some students fail, it's because they choose to do that and some also have a bad attitude towards learning itself. Is it really the teacher's entire responsibility to keep the students on their feet? No! The student must also be willing to learn in order to succeed. Since the first day of school, Lakewood High School is a great place to learn. Link Crew welcomes incoming freshman through orientation. Throughout the year, I've experienced the days of a typical Lakewood High student. My sister is an Odyssey sophomore, and soon my other sister will be joining Lakewood as an Odyssey freshman. I have gone to Lakewood for 4 years and I have been in the Odyssey program the entire time and I love it. Lakewood is a wonderful school. They have so many program choices such as; Odyssey for those intrested in Marine Biology and the ocean. Merit for the GATE students. ATM for students who wish to work
... Read more with computers. PALMS for the students that want to go into medical school or become firefighters or police. The ARTS which is a program for the more creative students who are intrested in music theater or becoming an artist. GLOBE for people who want to work in buisness. HERO is a program for those intrested in Culinary arts or fasion/interior design. NJROTC is a military program and AVID which pushes the students who otherwise would not attend college. Lakewood was my fisrt choice in highschools not only becuase it has extrodinary prgrams such as Merit Sholars , ATM, Odyssey,etc. It has alot of great teachers they are so helpful. Advanced Placement

Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
