I am currently enrolled at Artesia high School. and to me i consider this a great school ..just think of all the improvements that was done over the years. Artesia High is a wonderful school. The entire staff really tries their best with what is given to them. Its not easy to teach at a school where many of the kids come from homes where education is not important or stressed. The campus always looks good and from I here Brian Cota is back at the school.

My daughter is a Senior and will be graduating in June 08. I am very happy with the administration. I respect the discipline that Mr. Woodward and Mr. Garcia put on the students. it is a tough world in the Adult world and Artesia is preparing our kids to enter that world. ... Read more teachers, counselors, administrators and students. I don't think it is nice for some students to say that teachers at AHS are not that good and that they give a lot of homework. Part of being a student means that you have to do your work. You can't blame it all to the teachers if YOU are the one who procastinate and not do your work as a student. Artesia students fall behin academically mainly because they lack motivation from family and friends. If given strong support and encouragement from outside sources, then Artesia High School would be one of the great schools in the ABC Unified School District. Also, students and several faculty members

Participation in school activities and caring about the school's purpose (not just a place to socialize) and campus (keeping it clean!) is something the student body lacks. AP Classes are challenging, if not harder than those offered at other ABC high schools. However, the college prep courses lack high expectations from students. Read less

I am a current student at Artesia High and I absolutely hate this school! It lacks great academic programs,however it's athletic programs are okay. Artesia has a new principle who is very active in inproving the school in all aspects. Teachers are being held accountable for thier students progress. In a school where both students and parents were stagnant a breath of fresh air is reviving the atmosphere. Students are more consciencious and parents

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
