That was extremely discouraging and she ended the school year in the bottom 25%. I have been very impressed with Lake Forest Elementary School. I have one son still at the school and one son graduated. The principal is a no nonsense gal who gets things done. She values every student and safety is her number one concern. The teachers have been fantastic and obviously love their job

The school is in a very nice and quiet leaving area. The quality of academic programs is certainly higher than medium (although they could improve it). Not too many extracurricular activities, but there is music class available for different instruments. There are a lot of parents helping the school.

The school is nice and well maintained and good overall. I was a little disappointed that they were not teaching our daughter to read in Kindergarten, which seemed at times more like free daycare. Also, they are big into fundraising.

Lake Forest Elementary is a wonderful school. This school is all about kids first, saftey first. They care about bike safety, my 4th grader is not bullied, because people care. The curriculum is rigorous without being unfair to the 'extremes'. Lake Forest Elementary ensures that my kids study more

I had high expectations for this school and was dissappointed at this school's ability to get it together. The team teachers for my daughter's kindergarten class were also new to teaching together and had major personality conflicts. The parking is a nightmare and you get lectures from the principle
... Read more before teacher confrences to 'end it on a good note' and be positive with your teacher. I feel if have a complaint about a teacher it should be valued and listened to. The students also either come from a very high socieconomic status or very low because there are now first-time buyer homes zoned for this school. Dual income TLC kids or less fortunate minority. Nothing in the the middle. This does not help with bullying. Which is not under control. Read less

My husband and I and our sons have been very happy with Lake Forest Elementary. The boys are challenged in their learning and have fun too. Teachers are great! There are lots of opportunities for parents to be involved. We have a new computer lab this year which is fantastic. A great school!

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
