I was also afraid to let my son attend Machado because of what I had heard. I was so wrong. Mrs. Forseth is an amazing principal and the teachers really care about the students. My son is now in third grade and I continue to be impressed and grateful that he goes to Machado.

THe involvement of the staff and the principle is wonderful. THey make sure each student knows to get to school on time, thier responsibilities, homework,
... Read more and etc . Also the are no problems with the spanish and english speaking. Any child that is behind has a special helper help them along so the other children stay afloat. This school has so many outside activities for the whole family, which parents attend to. Please look into this school more and find the positive facts not the negative opinions. I had my daughter at this school from K-2 and it was horrible! The kids are bullies, I can relate to other parents on this matter. The principal and teacher did nothing! ... Read more say there are a selected few.. out of the 3yrs my daughter was attending this school I only had 1 wonderful teacher who was there to do his job! Other than that oh my it was a horrible experience and yes I belong to that school but never again will any of my children attend this school. May I add that my child is very smart and recieves A's and B's! She was bullied at this school and last year was even falling behind. She herself would tell me the teacher would fall asleep! I have had one child go all the way through Machado and another going through Machado now. I can say the only reason they have made it through is because they are very bright young ladies. There are only a select few and maybe only five really good teachers in this school if you are lucky to request

this school is terrible on everything my son is adhd he was never helped no solution at all , he was sad and angry they said ti have people win specialty but was not true ...he was take out from the clasroon... was a very bad experience he was on kinder...i take him to another school railroad canyon

This core student base of this school is very heavily non-english speaking Hispanic with accompanying resources and involvement nearly wholly geared toward servicing these students/community. It is an 40 yr old school with very committed teachers that has had the surrounding neighborhood decline greatly

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
