Rolando has been a wonderful school for our daughter. Her teachers have been very encouraging and supportive. The principal, Mr. Magliato does a great job. The school has a great community feel to it and the parent involvement is top-notch.

... Read more said that the PTA has raised 50,000 dollars on average per year she wasnt kidding. So that means you are going to be hit up every week for what ever fundraiser is going on and sometimes twice a week. So I pick and choose which ones we can do. There are only about 450 students at this school. So do the math. Parents come up with a lot of extra cash. I guess its cool cause its for the Kiddos. Ill keep my views on PTA to my self, POLITICS! ... Read more and my daughter has thrived here. She learned to read by the third month of kindergarten! More importantly she loves going to school every day, The school works as a real team so there are no 'good' and 'bad' teachers in each grade, they all work together. The only thing I have not loved about the school is the PTA- they are exceptinally involved, and do SO much for the kids, which is great, but they are also somewhat cliquish and tend to exclude parents who work during the day. We are new to Rolando this year but have absolutely fell in love with this school. We had very high expectations coming from a private school, but have not been disappointed. We were welcomed by everyone. I think the teachers, staff and principal are phenomenal and believe me I have high standards.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
