I was so disappointed with El Portal. This school has no manners in teaching and they care more about their scores then they do about the children. They are disorganized and rude, very cut and dry. I am a very proud parent of El Portal School and an even more prouder partent of my daughter as a student of El Portal from Kindergarten to six grade. The teachers, principal, students, parents of students, and whole school district are excellent. El Portal has given my daughter a great start with their

I am not a fan of El Portal. I have had children in this school for the last 5 years. A lot is expected from the children but little to no help is ever offered. I also feel there are too many unnecessary rules, especially at recess. Rules are important but kids also need a chance to be kids. They seem
... Read more to get in trouble for every little thing and the punishment rarely fits the crime. The atmosphere fosters tattletales and doesn't encourage good social skills or respect for authority. Limit rules to dangerous and hurtful behavior and consistently enforce them. We will not be enrolling are youngest child next year. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
