Jamul Int School has been nothing but a postive experience for my child. The teachers have been first rate and I believe the negative reviews ususally come from a problem parent. It is a fantastic school for the kids to learn and be challenged.

Jamul Schools do alot to improve the achievement for English Language Learners and economically disadvantaged students, but unfortunetly those in the GATE program or other high achievers are not well supported. I think more needs to be done to address the needs of students at the top. Many students
... Read more become bored or are held back because of the focus on the under achievers or ELL. GATE is not well funded,and parents are often confused about the structure of the program. It's a great school otherwise, but most involved parents with GATE students hope the needs of these kids will not be ignored. There is a great art program, dual language program, great teachers etc...just need to improve GATE! Read less

This school has a long way to go before it can be called effective. The School Board is stagnent and not united in its efforts to improve education. If your child attends this school make sure they can read. The Board has not studied the issues and does not have a clue as to what is going on in education

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School

Vocation/Technical Curriculum
Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
