The administration is well organized and always friendly. You will even see the founder almost daily waving to parents and students as they arrive to school. I suggest interviewing many schools and attending their open houses because once you see this gem you will recognize it. The Pegasus School is a true find however expect to pay for excellence. The Pegasus School has been the right fit for my son. The teachers are engaging, academics are challenging, and the environment is very warm & nurturing. We have just started the preschool program and really like the school. The teachers gave been extremely supportive and the methods of teaching are very creative. We were looking for an environment where teaching was not forced down kids throats but where learning happens in a fun creative environment.

This school provides an excellent learning environment. Students are provided with ample opportunities to learn above and beyond the requirements. Different learning strategies are employed throughout the different classrooms. Overall, a great learning environment for motivated children to thrive.

My child attended Pegasus in kindergarten. Although it's supposedly a school for 'bright and gifted' kids, mostly it's a school for wealthy Newport Beach/Coast kids. It's almost all white, and the academic ability of the kids in my child's class had just as big of a spread as that of kids in public
... Read more school classes later on. Teacher quality varies tremendously. Ours was good, but another kindergarten teacher who'd been there for many years was terrible. The curriculum is no better than that in a good school district, though it does have the advantage of more art, music, and science. Still, science in kindergarten was almost always videos--a real disappointment. The best thing about Pegasus is the small class size--18-20, with 2 teachers. But that's definitely not worth the money--save yours, send your kid to a good public school in K-8, and supplement with enrichment classes. Read less

The curriculum at the school is limited in some cases, such as only Spanish language being offered in middle school. The school still has some growing pains before reaching greatness. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
