The support and caring my child receives at Grace will contribute to her happiness for years to come. We feel that children need to be children. I was terribly disappointed with this school (McFadden location). You clearly get what you pay for (Grace is the cheapest preschool I could find). Classrooms are too small too many kids crammed into a small area inside the class and out on the play yard. The kids fought because there simply wasn
... Read more t enough room or materials for the students. I have observed students who attend Grace and have noticed that they are more aggressive and not well behaved. It is great to incorporate a Christian background with the curriculum, but there are other schools in the area that meet this need. I pulled my child out of the school and he is thriving at the new preschool. I chose Grace because of all the reviews from parents, but I think parents stay there because it is so cheap without realizing what affect it will have on their children. Read less

I feel my daughter gets to experience something of how school used to be: a smaller comunity, a place where fun happens, a joyous place to do art, computers, Spanish, and Music. She is happy! I am aware that it is not the MOST rigorous academic program around. That is alright with me. They are teaching her Christian principles and the are giving her the tools to think and question. There are other reasons besides academics that people choose to go the private school sector that will never be allowed in the public school setting. RELIGION! Pretty important to many. As the school administratior for Grace Lutheran School, I realize that no one school is right for every child. The curriculum at our school addresses all California State Academic Standards. Our school participates in nationaly normed standardized tests each, year that places our school in the top 15
... Read more to 20% of private schools in the nation. In addition we have specialty teachers that provide a well rounded liberal arts curriculum for our children. Recently a parent whose daughters graduated from Grace in 2006 and 2007 and enrolled at Mater Dei High School. The girls were not top in their classes and are honor students receiving 'A' in high school. It is disapointing that a parent would take hearsay as truth. I woujld encourage any parent considering our school to make an appointment for a tour and we would be glad to share statistical information on the quality of our academic program. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
