Scary school. I thought HB was going to be a good move, but I pulled my children out of this school and moved them to Canyon High in Anaheim Hills (which is much better). This school is filled lots of drugs and gangs, and too many underachievers. Get out while you can!

Edison is over crowded, the students have poor discipline, and the classes are not challenging. Not exactly a welcoming atmosphere, as all high schools have ...  Read more

I do not like the block scheduling and particularly the '0' period at 7am. Too early for anyone. Two hour classes may be okay for honor students but too long to focus for most. CST* Test Scores

Grade Level:

Test Year: 2007
Edison High School
Huntington Beach Union High School District
California

* In 2006-2007 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts and math in grades 2 through 11; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8, 10 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.
