Several of my daughters teachers are in what they call an alliance, meaning these teachers share the same students.They all know the students strengths and weakness's and work together on one common goal, prepare the student for high School. These teachers prefer to have the student complete the assignments

Read more while in class instead of sending home homework as most of us parents don't have a clue what their student has to do, it's just different than the stuff we were taught and know. the teacher would rather have the student bring the work back in the next day so they can be helped by someone who knows the work. I ask my daughter every day to show me her day planner and also what she learned in each class, this works out very well as she then has to work the brain to remember that days work. Read less

Academic programs are average. Teachers have very low academic expectations from the students, therefore students do very poorly. Extracurricular activities are limited.

Quality of academic programs are average. There are no music classes--other electives have been cut. Art has been reduced to one semester, only leaving Wood shop as the other elective choice. Because teachers are so stretched, very few are willing to spend extra time (before or after school) to help students that need it--Administration should recognize that this is only hurting their students. My son attended Rancho San Justo for the full three years. We felt the academics were average and the availability of extra curricular activities were good and wide varietied. The parents were averagely involved and the atmosphere was one of consistency and acceptance on whatever level your child seemed

I have had three students at Rancho San Justo. I feel it is a very good school considering the diverse ethnic and socioeconomic background of the student body. I went to Rancho for two years, and to be honest, they were not the fun two years that I expected. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
