If you are home or have any extra time I feel you should give that time to the school! The more involved a parent is the better their child will do!!. I find if you have a child who exceeds at their grade level, you pretty much need to keep them going with activities and other such things on your own! Read less

This school is ok. The principal is full of himself and not necessarily doing the best for the kids. The traffic gets really bad before and after school. My daughter's teacher this year is great. Last year was not so great.

I used to like this school but with more kids coming in around this area is getting really crowded. The staff is polite but they need to improved big time on the traffic during drop off and pick up of the kids.

My childs first year at Rod Kelly has been the best expireince for her.The Kindergarden Staff go above and beyond anyones needs, A team of great teachers I can Honestly say I have never seen such effort in a group of teachers to come together at Rod Kelly Kindrgarden has for the education and safety

Rod kelley has a great neighborhood location within the city of Gilroy. The School offers a varity of special aid programs such as speach teraphy. Music and choir activities, and arts alive program given by volunteer parents.

Kindergarten and 1st grade so far have been great for my little girl. There is some parent involvement, the teachers are very helpful, accessible and concerned about student's levels. RK is weaker in music and art and extracurricular as it focuses on reading and math. There is no emphasis in science

The teachers make sure that parents are informed about their childs strengths and weaknesses and are available to discuss ways to guide the children to perform their best. This school needs money to buy books and supplies and I watch the cafateria give out free food to kids, siblings and their parents on a daily bases. The school has fund raisers and would make better use of the kids time if the parents would just write a check for $20.

Advanced Placement
