As a parent I am very involved and like to know what is going on with the school activities. I would like more envolvement from the principle this year she is brand new I hope she can show us new things. All my girls have had incidents with other students or with teachers that I was not happy about. Read less

I am a former student, and now a parent. I had 2 yrs (separate) of incidents at this school with my child. As a student.. we had Mrs. Davis/White as a principle. The new principle whom I wont name, from what I've noticed and seen with my eyes, is disorganized and doesn't have her priorities straight.
... Read more This school has completely gone downhill. They urge you to medicate your children or look into it. And various other complaints that I will not say. There are some wonderful teachers that are still there that do make a difference though. I transferred my child. Read less

As a student my view of the school is slightly negative. The school varies with teachers who put effort in teaching their students, and those who teach moderately or even poorly. Read more free time to help students with homework or other assignments, give a good view of childs work on assignments in conferences etc. And then there are those who just hand out very easy assignments and dont even take the time to challenge students. But i think the main problem is the Principal. Well not to be harsh, but i believe that Principal should come with new ideas to make the school intersting, fun, and educational. The principal should create an afterschool program that includes chess, sports, etc. It should not rely on the Boys and Girls club. Read less

... Read more special needs. Fullerton School district inadequately addresses the true needs of the diverse populations within the district. Many students (45.7%) in the district are Hispanic and have limited English skills. Thereby affected the capacity of the teacher s to effectively teach and meet gifted student needs. I have had my child in Valencia Park for 6 years and I respect and appreciate the dedication and commitment that the teachers, administration and staff have given. However, this school is very crowded and ill equipped to meet the student s needs. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
