El Molino High School epitomizes all that a great public school should be. It offers it's students a great spectrum of academic activities despite dealing with horrible budget cuts.

Intelligent enthusiastic teachers, lots of AP classes and a diverse & tolerant yet caring home-town environment for learning!

I've lived in this area for many years and am continually impressed by the ability of El Molino to excel with such a diverse population. They really emphasize being responsible, good citizens; they help support and inquire into a student's life, but don't baby or ignore. That's what the future needs, ...  Read more

I have chose to teach here for almost 20 years. I have even worked with some of the most challenging students. All kids have the opportunity to find success at every level imaginable, if they are ready. This is a unique staff...they work very hard, and they truly care about kids of all shapes, sizes, ...  Read more

I would only recommend this school if you know you have a self sufficient learner. My son was lost in the large class size/ shuffle and has a learning disability that they were unwilling to test for. I pulled him out half way through 9th grade and placed him in a smaller setting.

Our kids are in 10th and 12th grade, and have had a great experience. Both have taken advantage of the culinary arts program, sports, and AP courses. I think as a parent the best thing about Elmo is that I feel comfortable my kids are in a safe, supportive environment.

We feel so lucky to have our kids at El Molino. The campus is small, the teachers are caring and have really high standards. Also we just found out that last year El Molino had the second highest SAT scores in the county! Our kids don't live in the district, but it's totally worth it to drive them ...  Read more

In my opinion El Molino is one of the safest, most inviting campuses in Sonoma County. It's standardized test schools are well above the state average. Neither I, nor any other parent I've spoken with, thinks class size is an issue.

El Molino high school continually has class size problems. Because of that my son is lost in the shuffle, not enough personal attention, nor is he being challenged enough to keep him focused. Additionally, I have had serious issues with the counselor assigned to my children. I can definitely say that ...  Read more
