Overall, the school is decent. It is safe, clean and the teachers care about their students. I do feel a lot of pressure regarding STAR testing and pushing the child to get high scores. STAR testing is not important to me at all, but the way they make you feel is like this: 'We are going to lose school

All I care about is that my child is happy and learning what is needed to go on. Also, I really DO NOT like the admin staff in the office. They are rude, judgemental and all have power trips. With that being said, I love my children's teachers. They are great! Read less

It has one of the only Spanish Magnet programs in the district and many other great activities supported by the PTA and parents with money. That said; it is a place in which the parents may be a bit too involved.

The parents would like to run the school and emails run abound when they don't like what they see even if they do not know the whole story or how a state budget works. In short; entitled parents are teaching their kids 'entitlement'. The GATE program is laughable. The playground is only now being updated. Parent involvement is extremely high especially in the lower grades. The music program is great and continues through middle school and high school. Unfortunately, when the principal left a few years ago she took the top teachers with her. My family thought the district should not have allowed this.
