This is a fantastic school. The leadership is strong and reliable. Teachers are responsible and accountable. The students are among the most respectful and diligent I've ever encountered. The Principal and staff of this school really care about the students. Board politics can be wack, however.

My experience at Exeter Union High School has been rather enjoyable. The academic programs seem to be excellent with very qualified teachers. There is rather little parental involvement unless the student is in some sort of extracurricular program. Speaking of which, the extracurricular activities

There is little or no painting or drawing unless one is in an Art class. The drama program (which I am in) is in desperate need of attention by the district, but drama is fine at Exeter. The music department (marching & symphonic bands, men & women's choirs, color guard, etc.), as Mr. Kirk Clague directs it, could not be finer. It is a small school, but it can stand its guard against any one in the state. Read less
