As a former teacher, I have to say that this school is one of the best schools in the Bay Area. The teaching staff and administrative staff have created the perfect environment in which students can effectively learn not only subjects, but life skills. ... Read more are soiling our 'California Distinguished School' title...and Westmoor's teachers are to be best! Several teachers that i have had, withold doctorial degrees and can legitametly be called Dr. _____. Every teacher has recently taken a paycut for our 09-10 school year, and earn incomes wherein they could recieve much more at other schools. However, I believe our teachers stay because of our respectful students and the school atmosphere. Lastly, Westmoor's future continues to get brighter with the numerous renovations that will include a new cafeteria, swimming pool, track&field, and library that are soon to be completed. Read less

You may hear that Westmoor is great and have a lot to offer. But most of Westmoors teacher staff is lazy and really dont know how to teach. My daughter complains how most of her teachers waste time in class and have no skill in teaching at all. The teachers arent helpful at all and the counselors arent

While I found I excelled at Westmoor, after coming to a prestigious university, I felt a little unprepared for the workload. However, I commend the teachers there greatly, especially those in the math and science departments. Our band program is wonderful, as are the sports teams and clubs.

Westmoor has a group known as the Westmoor Service Commission, and are led by Mr. Delbon by being the 'rock of Westmoor'. They are student groups who help maintain safety on campus, and these students are often the creme of the crop of Westmoor. Many students at Westmoor have the opportunity to succeed

Despite this school not being a sport powerhouse, Westmoor has made numerous appearances in sectional meets in swimming, state meets in track, and state championships in girls basketball. Daly City today as a whole is a safer community, take a tour for yourself, Westmoor has no room for fights, students are expelled or moved away. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
