My son attended Hilldale and absolutely loved the school and still gets sentimental when he thinks about it. He was challenged and learned a great deal in a small and nurturing environment. Hildale was the first school in which I had my own classroom. It was the best place I could have started my career. I had a fantastic staff to support me through my first year and a terrific, tight-knit parent base who made me feel like a welcomed professional.

However, those challenges are met vigorously. The school also tries to be affordable and additionally will work with parents on a needs basis. The staff is not as cohesive as they like to believe and attendance in the upper grades (or lack of) shows the instability of the institution. I frequently observe that older children at Hilldale treat the younger children with respect and help whenever they can. Hilldale s Principle is determined and full of positive energy. Small class sizes give the teachers an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with the children. The afternoon care involves homework, reading, drawing, outdoor play and workshops. My daughter chose Swimming and Instrument Making and comes home with some pretty cool stuff. The school s buildings could be cared for better, but playgrounds are in good shape. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
