10 Parent Reviews for Benjamin Franklin Interm School

This school has a lack of discipline, which is why there are some unfriendly students who bully other students with no consequences to follow.

I can't disagree more with the negative comments about Ben. My son recently graduated ('08). He had wonderful teachers who pushed him to reach his full potential. They knew his capabilities and didn't settle for less from him. He just completed his freshman year of high school with a 4.0. He has been ...  Read more

Very dirty and unkept, poor academics, unfriendly students, awful teacher quality, and a huge lack of good extracurriculars. Used to be a great school w/ great teachers and an even better curriculum but is now one of the worst schools in the district. Don't know what happened.

I just transferred in this school. I must say, almost all the teachers are very helpful when it was my 1st day of school! I met a couple of good friends.

My son is a 7th grader and I am surprised to find out that the students did not participate in the annual Science Fair project. I have yet to see a 'shining' community involvement.

I graduated from Ben 5 years ago, my older brother 7 years ago, and now my younger brother is an eighth grader there. I must say, things are really different from when I attended! We used to pride ourselves in being the best in the district; we had a 'Superior' band, always won the track meets against ...  Read more

Leadership tends to sweep issues under the rug. Students are disrespectful and tend to be wild in classrooms. Lack of discipline a problem here.

Too many bullies and discipline problems at this school. Students that are discipline problems distract the whole class. Teachers unable to control classroom environment.

It is said to be a strict environment but from what I hear from my child, things can get pretty wild in the classrooms. 'Discipline problem' students are big distraction and take up too much of the teachers' energy. On positive side, there is a new gym being built on campus and scheduled to open this ...  Read more

Extremely disappointing school. My child has not had to do a book report in two years. A few excellent and committed teachers fight an uphill battle against indifference and lack of funding.
