My daughter attended this school and received an excellent education. Numerous extra-curricular clubs and activities (athletic and non-athletic) are available to the students. The campus grounds are beautifully maintained, the staff and teachers welcoming and good-humored and the student body is pretty

My only complaint was the amount of homework, but she didn't whine about it so I suppose I shouldn't. Masses and religious classes didn't bother us (we're not Catholic). There was never any pressure to become Catholic or Christian. Read less

This is an awesome place. We have a 6th grader and an 8th grader at this college prep institution. I love the critical thinking aspect of the curriculum. Our 8th grader learned how to write editorials about the American Revolution, he used the Socratic method of discussion in literature class as a 7th

Without a doubt, this place is truly college preparatory. My husband and I didn't learn some of these things until high school. Moreover, we really dig the College and Coffee monthly series. The parents are super friendly and we share ideas and resources with each other. We look forward to sending the children to the high school as well. Read less

Chaminade is a great school! Our daughter is a 7th grade honors student and is doing very well here. This is the worst school ever by a mile. My daughter attended this school and she hated everything about it. The deans of students were heartless and they would go by logic even if someone swears they didn't do anything wrong, the deans would say they are lying. This review may sound unbelievable and

With perspective, attending this school can be infinitely amusing. Most of the teachers are seemingly insane. Extreme favoritism and if you are not the model student prepare to be disliked by the teachers. Teachers love to boss around students. Standards are different for every student meaning teachers

This school is mostly excellent. Very very stong leadership from the principal, very good caliber of student who is motivated, with good values. If there are any issues with problem kids, administration acts quickly and thoughtfully. The school has made a bold move to become technology immersed
... Read more with each student having a laptop and becoming proficient through the internet, teachers using smart boards and this seems to be worknig well. Teachers are generally good and caring. Teachers have been responsive to our issues and some teachers have gone beyond the call of duty to help. The school helps kids stay organized with systems to manage their courseload. Involved caring parental community. The religious aspects of the school are reasonable and not overbearing and the community values that they espouse are commendable. The weaknesses are that there are many more multiple choice tests than essays, there are a fair share of weak teachers (20-25%), some of the homework seems like busy work. Also, the after school athletic programs were disappointing and the caliber of coaching just fair. Overall, a very good experience and one I would highly recommend. Read less
