This is an excellent school that continues to improve. The science and math departments compete on a national level. Students are accepted to the best universities. The school has something for everyone: strong academics, language, biotech, music, sports, dance, theatre, and a very diverse population

I can understand having school spirit but to say that a school has smart kids is an ignorant remark. All schools have a variety of learning abilities and levels in their students. Let's try to keep our personal bias out of these reviews so incoming parents have honest feedback.

This is a great school and a real credit to the efforts of the district to improve education in our area. The facility is modern and modernization of the remaining structures that are not up to date is going on right now. This school has come a long way. Academically, it keeps improving. There is diversity in student body, which reflects the real world. Lots of ap's offered. On the down side, it is a very large school and kids coming from smaller middle schools can have a hard time adjusting to that.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School

Vocation/Technical Curriculum
Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
