South high does, or did, have great administrators though. And, none matches our diversity, which is something we need to celebrate more.

I think about South High School. I do not like the teaching staff at South High, Usually they are rude and disrespectful to the students often provoking negative behavior in the students and then hiding behind their teacher title. The administration however is cool,they work really hard with the parents

The Programs need some improvement, but I believe that they are improving. They have the math and science program which is a great help to the student that want to have a career in the science or math field. South High is a good school for it's location.

I have my last child out of 4 going to South High. I do believe more parent involvement would be great. Every parent is responsible for their child and that is what should be enforced. My opinion is that each student has a choice as to how they will be productive in school.Its what they make of it.My
... Read more other 3 children have all done excellant in this school.Know what your children are doing . Its not the school that makes you what you are its the parents and the people around you. Every student has a choice even if your surroundings are not so great.My childrens heart have been touched by so many teachers at South High. I am a south high student and here's what I have to say about south high: the quality of the academic programs are quite shotty and half of the time some of the teachers dont even know what they are doing. ... Read more past few years and the teachers that teach art, choir, drama, and band are very good. They are probably the smartest on the campus. At south high I don't really notice a lot of parent involvement except for when the school needs money. Therefor I do not think that parents should let their children go to south high. Read less
I think that South High is doing a great job in minimising the amount of fights or gang realated stuff. My daughter is proud to say that she goes to South High! Some people think that South is 'ghetto' but in all reality it's not! They have an excellent source of teaching leadership skills!

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
