Its funny hearing what some parents hear and say about this school. No hard hats were worn by students to get to class, and there are always AP classes offered, you just have to be smart enough to get in them. My only concern is safety and campus security, which seems minimal. Academics aren't that bad,

I have had a student at Katella for 6 years now (2 kids). The teachers are quick to respond to an e-mail to ask about grades or behavior. I have been really happy with the school. It is true that there has been a lot of construction, but it takes a lot of time to make so many changes to such a large

Katella High School has been under construction for over 3 years! There aren't even any lockers! Student are forced to carry at least 3-4 heavy books and more than one binder every day, and last year the students had to wear hard hats just to get to class! I have a child that who is very intelligent

Katella does have very good honors and ap programs the problem is they are not supported enough by the student body. Recently an AP english lit class was cancelled do to too low of numbers. The ap kids do suffer somewhat because the are a minority. The same kids are involved in asb, sports, clubs etc

Because of Katella my horizons are broad. You obtain a bond with the athletic, club and student-teacher communities aid me when I feel pressured with AP work load, and social problems at home. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
