We expected alot from this National Blue Ribbon school so we should have expected to be a little disappointed. My son hates going to school each day. He is bullied and although we have followed the advice of the administration, the perpetrators have seen no consequences and the bullying continues.

The school is great. We had our tiny bumps here and there but the teacher and staff are great and have been really helpful the entire three years I was there. However if there was one thing i would change its the fact that if you have refferals you cant get into all year classes. I find that it is

Read more not a way to build better habits among students with discipline problems but in fact worsens them by cutting them off from a way to vent through their talents weather that be singing, art, or drama. This is a great school. Unlike most schools we run the mile every week to stay fit and healthy. We also have great fund raisers and school supplies. There is a great learning enviornment and the food is great!

We have excellent communication through emails and websites and frequent opportunities to talk directly with our son's teachers. AVMS is an outstanding school. Any parent should feel comfortable sending their children here. Teachers are wonderful, helpful, and challenge their students. The school provides materials necessary for students to learn. Parent volunteers are on campus at all times. Parents who cannot help out on camps

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School

Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
