I love the teachers & counselors at Albany High School. They have a fantastic Math program at Albany too. Everyone there really cares about all the students development & they truly prepare them for the next level.

AHS is raw. The English department is stellar, the and the science department kills. The math department is a little bit weak... but who cares about math anyway?! Albany High offers community, plenty of extracurricular activities, and a legitimately challenging curriculum. What else can you ask for from

I have two children in the district- one is in middle school and the other in high school. Overall, I am extremely pleased with both. Standards are uniformly high and safety has never been an issue. Albany requires a high degree of parental support and participation. The music programs are excellent

My daughter is a Freshman at Albany High and has been extremely enthusiastic and motivated. She is taking a full load of classes and finds all of her teachers dedicated, fair and challenging.Albany High has a very advanced science department, rich curriculum in music and art. There are after school sports

We have a child in this school, and find it to be a very disappointing experience. We feel that our child needs have not been met, the curriculum is standard, however, safety is an issue. The asst. principal is very unresponsive to the needs of an urban school. Much of the meditation is left to the parents. We chose this school based on its test scores, and have seen the hard way, the test scores, sadly, do not tell the whole story. We are waiting for the year to end, and then withdrawing

Quality of academic programs vary depending on teacher. During my time at AHS, availability of music and art was declining due to budget cuts but sports highly available to students. Parental involvement high given small Albany community but parents most heavily involved weighed less towards representation

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
