... Read more remained strong. They continue to collaborate with each other to find ways to best serve all of our children. The teachers truly care about the students. They assign fun and interesting projects that keep my child engaged. They offer many ways for parents to be involved in their child's education. The bottom line for me is that my daughter is learning and she is happy. What more could a parent ask from a school? Read less

Chipman Middle School is one of the worst schools I have ever had to deal with. The adminstration changes every other year, so that is less guidance for the teachers. If you have a child that struggles with school you can forget aobut anyone helping that child they just fail them. The teachers don't

My son is in his first year at Chipman. We have really enjoyed the experience so far. Knowing that Chipman is in the 3rd year of Program Improvement means that we can be a part of the changes. The teachers are all great. They have worked together as a strong team for a number of years. Seeing what

Read more can happen with more resources for the teachers means so much for those students who are under-performing and a lot to those students, like our son, who are in the advanced range in state testing. Our son has continued to keep up his good grades and has made a lot of good friends this year. Chipman is one of the best schools in Alameda. The teachers and staff really care about the students and go the extra mile to assist. Their office staff and teachers are professional, helpful and courteous. If you are a responsible parent, your child will do well at Chipman.

Chipman is one of the most diverse schools in the District, and I am very pleased that my children attended. They have been exposed to so many different types of people and ethnicities, and they are certainly richer, more compassionate young people because of it! They are both very good students

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
