St. Francis School is by far the best in Yuma. The teachers and parents work well together along with the principal and support staff. The sports program is well organized and provides lots of excitement and school spirit for thoose who participate. The school also has an after school program for extra homework help and Title I students. The best part of all it that it is truly Catholic with Mass once week and Confessions monthly along with celebrations of all the special Feast of the Catholic Church. Read less

Having been a student at this school, I will tell you that when I went to public school, I had to take summer school to be at the same academic level as public school students when I was in Kindergarten going to 1st grade. This school in no way sets kids up for anything after their school. Reading, math,

And I can tell you that when I went to public school, I received a much better education than this overpriced sham offered my parents. Save your money and send them somewhere else. Also a lot of the books they use have the answers printed right in them. There is no learning required. St. Francis' academic program is the best in town and they echo our catholic morals and values which is very important to us. The school is devoted to the education of our children and helps to guide our children into being active members of the Catholic Community. St. Francis is a well rounded school that has made great strides in the past few years. St. Francis provides the best education that can be found in Yuma. This is demonstrated by the AIMS test results last year. I am taking my children out of St. Francis after two years. The academics are typical though not very creative. The religious element is good although too much rote and not enough understanding. Leadership is terrible and virtually ignores parent input. Great uniforms and very involved parents.

St. Francis of Assisi School is one of the best elementary schools in Yuma. It has a great academic level and as a parent of student attending Yuma Catholic High School, I must say that my child and his classmates that attended St. Francis are much better prepared than the kids that attended other school.

AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School
