My child has learned a lot, the teachers are great they tell me what i need to know and they enforce the rules provided by the district. My child is now in honor classes thanks to his teachers, he was in AE classes before, but now im so proud. Its all thanks to the schools teachers and staff.

We moved here from Colorado. One son started high school here; one first attended Mansfield Middle before Tucson High. The older son is a natural scholar; at THMS, he was in GATE classes, took Honors, AP classes & was active in Mock Trial. Great preparation for college! My other child played sports and
... Read more took vocational courses (easier) so I saw every side of this school. I attended all parent/teacher nights, etc. I love this school! The teachers, with few exception, are devoted and caring; the counselors were good. The principals fluctuated; I can't address the leadership there. The very diverse school environment is very valuable. The one downside is that parental involvement was not encouraged. I had always volunteered before but rarely was there an opportunity here. However, I think that since the school is so large, it is important that the students/parents become well aquainted with their teachers- otherwise your kid can fall in the cracks. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Before/After School

Vocation/Technical Curriculum
Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
